Whisk together oil, syrup, milk, vanilla , and eggs. Set aside.

Add the oats, spices, baking powder, and apples to the wet ingredients. Mix well. Let all ingredients set for 10 minutes. This allows oats to thicken.

Pour into lined baking dish and sprinkle with nuts. ( can omit nuts). Bake for approximately 25 minutes. Top will be golden brown.

I love to make this on a Sunday to enjoy for the week ahead. You can also use blueberries instead of apples in this recipe. Drizzle a little honey over the top before serving.
